Love Bites By Def Lepard

Q: " What is mans greatest fear ? "
A: " Rejection by a woman."

Q: " What is woman's greatest fear ? "
A: " Being hit "

I never knew that a mans biggest fear is being rejected by a woman. I thought of so many other things that it might be, fire, theft, being assaulted, sodomised. But its rejection by a woman, especially if he has been rejected by the first and most important woman in his life, his Mother. They say a dying soldiers last word is " Mum"

Scary isn't it ?

Now it makes sense when you think of all the love songs that have been written by men. Disproportionate to the amount written by women and me being me I think of all the murders caused by rejected men. Also disproportionate to the amount of murders perpetrated by women. There are both evil women and men in this world but the statistics are 90 to 10 in favour of, or disfavour of men.

In 2016 a single Mum of a 4 year old boy was murdered in her home by a man she had met on an Internet dating site. She dated him just once and rejected him. Four months later while living with a new girlfriend he walked by the single Mums house. It was 10pm at night. He walked back to his house, a walk of 40 minutes, entered his house, grabbed a cricket bat and a penknife and walked back the 40 minutes to her house.

He used the penknife to remove panes of glass from the house and clambered inside. The woman heard the noise and confronted him. He struck her on the shoulder with the bat and rained down blows on her head, legs and arms. Her little 4 year old had been woken by the noise and witnessed the murder of his Mother. He ran to his room and hid.

The next day the little boys Nanny and her partner rang the doorbell and were greeted at the door by
the small child. He said he couldn't make Mummy wake up. The Nanny stayed in the kitchen while her partner went to the bedroom, finding the Mums body covered in blood. She was dead. The young couple frantically rang the Police.

It was a huge incident in the small town and no one could talk of anything else. A well liked, devoted young Mother shockingly murdered in front of her little boy. The tot had said

" A man came down the hall and hit Mummy with a cricket bat and stole her phone"

The police were immediately in contact with the phones service provider and it was discovered the phone was turned off, but the number was flagged on their computer system for notification. That meant if and when it was turned back on the service provider would be notified.

The murderer acted normally, his girlfriend said. They had a BBQ that night and sat around with friends discussing the awful murder and she said her partner never showed anything but normal reactions just like everyone else that was there that night. Drinks were consumed, food eaten and everyone had a theory as to what could have happened and who did it.

The murderer had an old dinosaur of a mobile phone. In fact his friends and girlfriend often teased him about being a bit of a Luddite regarding technology. So his girlfriend was a little surprised when he mentioned a mate was selling him a smart phone for $50. He had his girlfriend drive him to the so called mates house. She waited in the car while he knocked on the door.

He returned to the car and said his mate wasn't home, but that the mate said he could go in and grab the phone and leave the $50 dollars on the table. Which is what he seemed to do. The phone cover
was red and was a bit " blinged up " the girlfriend stated to the Police later. She laughed a joked about it at the time, so her boyfriend said they should do a swap. He was giving his girlfriend something that had belonged to a woman he had just murdered.

Nothing happened for two days, and then he made a fatal mistake. He turned the murdered girls phone on. The police were at his house within minutes . His girlfriend said twelve police arrived, stormed in, and one Police Woman held up a piece of paper and pointed to one word. " Murder " the girlfriend went into shock. She had noticed nothing suspect in his behaviour.

The little boy is now about 10 and lives with his maternal grand parents, the murdered girls parents. They will never forget their daughter, but having her Son helps to ease their pain a little. He's a great child and his grandparents take him to the cemetery any time he wants to " see " his Mum. On the doco of the murder there is a shot of him running up to the grave and kissing it.
