Eight Essential Items For A Great Budget Wardrobe

Without Prejudice

I love a coordinated wardrobe. It's easy to pick things out for work, going out and being casual at home. Fashion is art, worn to impress ourselves and others. I love the lady that just completed 365 marathons in 365 days, but could she not have been allowed to grab a hair brush, lippy, mascara before the cameras descended ? She looked just like her husband, and no woman, if sensible would want to look like her hubby. Weather beaten and craggy.

No doubt they will be offered squillions for promoting the benefits of healthy raw vegetable and fruit diets, 20 bananas a day, at times ! But for commercials they will tidy up the raw rough look and smooth it all out. I am not being mean, merely truthful. If you are going to be in the news you should want to look as good as you can to inspire others and some of us are just basically shallow and think, moisturiser, moisturiser, moisturiser.

I think their effort is awe inspiring however for us Baby Boomers that might think we are getting a tad old. In our society of youth obsessed looks it is so refreshing. Good on them.

The first essential for a basic wardrobe is a good black suit.

It can be pants or skirt. But better to have the best quality that lasts years and if bought off the rack, make it fit. Take it to a good tailor and have it done professionally. Budget wise, try Ebay, or any of the good recycled stores for designer items. I know of several in Melbourne and they are direct factory outlets sell ons.

You can find Lisa Ho, Adele Palmer, Jag, Alannah Hill, all at ridiculously cheap prices.

The next Essential is a black pencil skirt.

Add a Cashmere jumper or cardigan

A trench coat

A good pair of High Heel Black pumps

A Pair Of black ballet flats.

A Liitle Black Dress

And crisp white shirt.

That is your basic wardrobe, you can add jewellery, scarves, tights, bags, belts, accessories
And I would also add a good pair of jeans for Casual wear.

That is all. Xxx
