Dear Grandson, Tips For A Great Life and GOOGLE

Without Prejudice

Zachary Rhys, after staying up all night to help pack the Christmas Presents for his little Brothers

And with four of his six brothers.

So you have been at work seven weeks and have spent every cent, thus far. You are on great money and love it but hate the early morning starts.

You want to buy a Skyline in a few weeks and help your non working friends out. You are a shy boy, recently with the spotlight on you and may be in danger of giving too much away.

Here are my advice tips for what they are worth.

1. Never tell your granny how to suck eggs, she has been there done that and has the joy in her heart and also the scars to prove it.

2. Trust in yourself.

3. You are the average of the five people that you hang around with the most. Ensure they are happy, positive people with dreams and ambitions that will carry you forward, not backwards.

4. Girls will come and go but for now focus on your own dreams and ambitions

5. Work hard. Others have tried everything else but sheer hard work will carry you forward at this age. You have two arms, two legs and a brain and are 18, and no one hands you anything for nothing.

6. If the Boss says do that, jump.

7. Be on time, it shows your commitment.

8. Be aware your non working friends will try and pull you down to their level. Rather than not be friends with them don't spend too much time commiserating with their unemployment. They too have two arms, two legs and a brain and spend their days, sleeping. Not your problem.

9. Thank everyone that helps you up, as you did with me for preparing your résumé. Good boy.

10. Save some of your money, each week, and blow the rest for a limited time. Decide the timing now.

11. Don't give your hard earned money to non working friends, you are not helping them, you are enabling them.

12. Feel sorry for yourself first.

If one day you want to be a Boss yourself, understand you have to be able to detach your emotions and think of Business first. To be a Boss you have to a bit of an asshole and you have to be able to cope with other people's view of you. A soft Boss will not be a trustworthy Boss. Learn from the hard ones. One day you will have to fire someone and that is just part of the job.

13. Travel, it opens your eyes to how other cultures live and makes you happier to be back at home.

14. The Job comes first.

15. Be clean, tidy, well groomed and smell good.

16. Have fun as well as work hard, a sense of humour is a precious thing.

17. Look around you for other opportunities to make money.

18. Be courteous and well mannered to everyone, from the gate man at work to the CEO.

19. Watch TV and movies that inspire you. And learn from them.

20. Google does not have the answer to every question. Ask your Grandma, she's a genius and gave birth to your Mother and she gave birth to you.

Live, laugh, love and good luck my Man Cub.

Love Nana
