The House Of Seven Little Dwarves and A Princess

Without Prejudice

My daughter Yvette the fertile, is having a little girl after seven boys. She found out today. She is still in shock and over the moon all at the same time. A little girl. A baby female after all that testosterone, finally an addition to the oestrogen provided by me, her and two female dogs. She thought she was having another boy. Never ever expected her body to give birth to a girl.

We are all in shock and delight and have to scrap all the blue baby clothes and start all over again. She had a shock miscarriage this year, an emergency rush to hospital and four blood transfusions. An operation and then demanded to come home the next morning, all puffed up and as mad as hell. She stayed puffed up for a while, all that extra blood.

Then she became really healthy, gave up smoking, was worse than cranky, and that's hard for Yvette as she is always cranky. Then shaped up her body for one more pregnancy. She is nothing if not determined. She has five boys to her old partner, S. and wanted 3 to her new partner. All boys, three of them men now, working. Two at school, the maths geniuses and two bubbling happy boys at home. One starts school next year and one will be three and a half by the time she has the baby Princess.

The boys will spoil their little sister rotten. And the oldest man cub is having his own baby girl on the same day as his Mum. She be a grandmother and Mother around about on the same day. What a weird coincidence. I'll be a grandmother and great grandmother on the same day in January, unless on e goes early and another late. Whatever, I'll be delighted one way or the other. And for a family that has had more than it's fair share of troubles in recent years, the good news makes such a beautiful welcome change.
