And then there was one

Without Prejudice

And now there is just me, me,  the essential me. The me I was before the
"troubles", as the Irish call it. Me before children and before grand children and before great grand children. Me who is here for a purpose, what ever that is. Maybe to tell people to stop wasting their lives and to be happy. Me who would say to everyone, don't be scared, live your life, you'll be OK. To laugh often and well. To love with all your being. To take life by the neck and shake the shit out of it. To do your best and to rise up when you think you are down.

Life is meant to be lived. Not struggled through. None of us that live in this beautiful country and believe me, it's one of the best countries in the world., have to struggle. We have shelter, food, clothing, warmth. It's how we choose to live each day that matters. People are good and decent most of the time. We can't be shot for being outspoken. But to live your life well in peace and harmony is one of God's greatest gifts. And if you don't believe in a God, then pay attention to the higher intelligence, positive thought, collective consciousness, whatever you choose to call it.

Bravery is everywhere, nobility is everywhere, kindness is everywhere, it's in you and it's in me. You just have to find it. And when you do, live it. Live as you see fit, not what someone else tell you. Live as if today was your last, kiss, cuddle, hug, make love, have fun, double over laughing at the world and the rest of us. Surround yourself with people you trust and love. Choose your friends because they make you feel good about yourself. They "Get" you. Hang on to old friends and make new ones. Let go of the nay sayers.

Wish them well and say good bye. Be true to yourself, love your kids and hold them dear and near to you. They are your reflection of you and your only real hope of immortality, you will be remembered by them long after you are gone. Don't allow any one to hurt them, children are vulnerable and need you to take care of them. Show them what is good about life. Educate them, show them how to be the best people they can be and maybe some day when you least expect it they will say I love you soooooo much. Then you will know how much life is worth and I hope you do.

Stay Strong, stay loving

Love Janette
