A Real Life Ghost Story--- 2

Without Prejudice

Before I had seem my vision of Lauren as an adult there had been other strange things happen after she died. Her bedroom door locked by itself and we couldn't get it open for to days, no matter what we did. My Husband had to end up taking to it with a large knife to get it open.

Alena dreamed of her and she had said,
"Im not dead" Alena wouldn't go in Laurens room at all, she was terrified.

Yvette and I were sat on our nubbly old green couch at one time watching the TV in the corner. Suddenly the white lace scrim curtaining blew out towards us, Yvette said .

"I didn't see that, did you ?"

"Not at all",  I replied.

and we moved a little closer to each other on the couch. We were the only people in the room and there wasn't a breeze coming from anywhere.

I glanced around once in the old house at Parkland Court and caught a glimpse of a figure at the end of the darkened hall it was of a girl dressed in a crinoline from days of old and I just dismissed it as fancy. If you look at the photo of the top of this page, this is what I saw. I didn't comprehend it until going through photo albums much later.

The lady friend who had come into my life, Robyn, I met quite by chance. Sylvia and I were at The Village Green one night for an over 28's night. A lady approached us and asked if she could join us at our table. She had come alone and was a little nervous just standing around. We were more than glad to have her company. She was a striking looking woman, tall, blonde hair and told us she was a phsychic. She and I palled up and she visited with me often.

She knew I wasn't keen on phsychic things but she sad she attended a spiritual church and told me a little about it. I took her up to Korumburra with me one time to visit with my Sister In Law Kerrie. As soon as Robyn walked in the beautiful old house she said to Kerrie, out of nowhere, apropos of nothing,

"You have a ghost in this house".
Kerrie laughed and said,
"Yes, I do"
"It's in this room,", Robyn stated quietly and sure enough Kerrie said that was correct. I thought the pair of them were mad but just kept quiet.

"It's an old lady", Robyn began again,
"She used to live next door and she comes in to see the kids, you don't have to worry about her, she's friendly."

I then remembered years before when Kerries girls and boy were little that Kerrie had said someone used to tuck the kids into bed. To stop them rolling out of bed. I was not sure then but I was sure now as Kerrie and Robyn conversed. Alena my own daughter had told me of being tucked in when she was there and it must have gone in one ear and out the other.

I was to revisit Kerrie many times and twice heard footseps coming down the hall outside my room. I knew it was a man and I knew he was wearing "Business Shoes".
I told Kerrie I had heard footsteps the night before, as we sat at breakfast.

"Was it a man's footsteps?" She asked.
"Yes", I replied, wondering how she knew,
"Yep", she said so matter of factly, "that's one of the ghosts"

I had the feeling it was a youngish man, wearing the shoes and I knew no one that it could have been in the house. It was Summer and we all took our shoes off and besides there was no man in the house. It was weird.

And another time I saw a young man stroll past the kitchen window as I was washing the dishes. And he said something. Not with his mouth of course, they never speak with their mouth open. I told Kerrie and she just acted normally about it and I thought I was going stark raving bonkers.

But after I saw Lauren at the house in Serpentine Road I knew, just knew there was something else out there. A friend of mine came to visit and I had my friend Robyn there. Gracie my friend had a sore back and Robyn asked if she could give her a Reiki healing. Gracie quickly agreed.

"You have a curve in your back", Robyn said to Grace. "Shaped like the letter S" I gasped aloud as did Grace. Robyn's hands only hovered above Gracie's back, not actually touching her. I knew Gracie had a S type curvature of the spine, she had had it since she was a little girl.

Robyn's hands then hovered over Gracie's knee.
"You have pain here, a fall ? " She queried.

Grace just nodded and looked at me, she knew I knew about the curvature and I could have told Robyn but the fall was that day and  she hadn't told anyone, wasn't limping or anything. This woman was uncanny.

We discussed it at length after Robyn left. She left saying she had a message for me from an Edith and I didn't know or didn't think I knew an Edith. She said two things, My neice was to slow down and that message came from Edith and that I was to look behind things, not as in physical objects but what lay behind peoples actions towards me.

I puzzled about the Edith for ages and then realised I did Know an Edith. My brother in Laws Mum who had helped me escape from my Husband when I drove the kids to Queensland. Her grand daughter was my niece and worked for the V8 Supercars, but that she was to slow down! And I was to look behind things.

Edith had died years before.

So after my vision of Lauren other weird things started to happen. I had read a thing by Lynda La Plante in the Australian Woman's Weekly, that she had been researching voodoo for a book and that if you really didn't like someone, write their name on a tiny piece of paper and throw it in the back of your freezer. And they will disappear out of your life.

So I jokingly decided to try it. A young guy was hanging around with Alena as a friend and I didn't like him, didn't trust him, thought he was awful. So I put his name in the freezer and told Alena and Mara. Two days later they came back in scared and with white faces,

"What ?" I asked them.
They said,
"You know Adam G, the one you put in the freezer two days ago ? "
"Yes, what, what ? "
"He just broke his leg !!"

I gasped as shocked as they were. Years later he hung himself and they, little sods, reminded me again, Strange things, indeed
